If you stay ready then you don’t have to get ready. Fall is here but that doesn’t mean we parlay our gym memberships into our upcoming New Year’s resolution. Because I think everyone deserves to be thin I’m sharing my “Thinspiration” find for today. There is always a fashion week somewhere in the world. Check out the duo Stockholm designers WhyRed’s runway show.
There aren’t many fashion lines that can effectively embody various men aesthetic/needs while still staying true to the brands overall perspective. WhyRed’s collection was inspired by “the creation and sometimes melding of glass, steel and stone.” This is prevalent in how strong and deep this seemingly ‘skater-boy’ collection plays it relaxed but focused.
I enjoy the poignant structured lines of the tops and outerwear, even the shirts are simple in color but the oversized silhouette and crispness of the tailoring make it a standout. I can see someone whose style is preppy, biker or hipster pulling from this collection. As well as, themes from other spring/summer 2014 men’s designers are seen throughout, such as soft graphics, delicate fabrics and boxy cuts. There’s a duplicity of romance under the tough at first glance graphics, where the colors are hard and layered but at a closer look they’re paint brush strokes that plays in harmony with light and dark contrast.
Today’s man like facile, fashion forward and functional clothing and WhyRed exudes all this. That’s why I wanted to highlight this collection, even the pants are easy but well-made, not to mention forgiving in a normally not so forgiving cut. Another note, all the trends I mentions in a recent post for fall/winter appears in this collection: the ‘T’ silhouette, The School-boy and Sleek/Grunge. I just enjoy how dope this collection is, I’m sure not to get fat this winter now that I’m thinspired to recreate these looks next year.
